One team from template to fit

We are not a shop that forwards your order to a fabricator. We measure your kitchen, cut the stone and fit it ourselves, which means when something needs to be right, there is nobody to pass it to.

Who we are

A family business that does the whole job

Worktop Worx is family-run. That is not a badge on a footer. It is why the same name is on the quote, the template and the installation.

We have been fitting stone worktops for over 15 years across London and the Home Counties. In that time the trade has split into two kinds of company: shops that sell you a slab and pass the job to whoever is free, and firms that keep templating, fabrication and fitting under one roof. We are the second kind, and we built it that way on purpose.

The reason is simple. When three companies touch one kitchen, every problem becomes somebody else’s. The templater blames the fitter, the fitter blames the fabricator and the customer is left holding a worktop with a join in the wrong place. Keeping it in one team removes the argument. If something is wrong, it is ours, and we come back.

What that buys you day to day is unglamorous and worth a great deal: the person who measured your kitchen briefs the person who cuts the slab, your sink is dry-fitted before it is loaded onto a van, and on installation day somebody standing in your kitchen can actually answer the question you are asking.

Four numbers you can check

We would rather publish four figures that stand up than a page of round numbers nobody can test.

What you can hold us to

Judge us on the things that are checkable

Any worktop company can call itself experienced. These are the specific commitments we make on every job, and every one of them is something you can watch us do or fail to do.

The quote is itemised, and it is the price

Every cut-out, edge profile, upstand and join is listed separately with its own cost. If the template changes the drawing, we tell you what that does to the price before we cut anything. Nothing appears on the final invoice that was not on the quote you approved.

We template your kitchen, not a drawing of it

A digital template is taken on site once your units are fitted and level. It takes two to three hours. Walls are never square and floors are never flat. The template is what stops that showing in the finished top.

Your sink and hob are dry-fitted before delivery

Cut-outs are checked against the actual appliance in the workshop, not against a spec sheet. If something does not sit right, it gets found there, where it can still be fixed, rather than in your kitchen with the old tops already in a skip.

The people who fit it work for us

No subcontracted fitting crew who have never seen the job before. The person who templated the room briefs the person who cuts it, and the person who fits it can tell you why a join is where it is.

Joins are placed, not just made

A visible join is typically 2–3mm. We agree where they fall before fabrication and put them where the eye does not travel, not where the slab happens to run out. If a run genuinely cannot be done in one piece, you hear that at quote stage.

You always know which step you are on

Fitted 3–7 working days from template. You get a template date, a fabrication window and an installation date, and if one of them moves you hear it from us first.

One team, three stages

From template to fit, nobody hands it over

A worktop passes through three sets of hands. In most of the trade those hands belong to three different companies. Here they belong to one.

It is the least visible thing about how we work and the most important. Every defect we have ever been called back to fix started as information that got lost between two businesses.

On site, first

The template visit is where the job is really decided. Unit heights, wall run-out, appliance positions, where the joins can go and whether the units will take the weight: all of it is recorded digitally and signed off with you before it becomes a cutting drawing.

In the workshop

Slabs are cut, mitred and polished to the template, then dry-assembled so mitres, cut-outs and join lines are checked as a set. Nothing leaves until it has been put together once.

Back on site, last

Fitted, scribed to your walls, joints sanded flush, sealed and cleaned down the same day. You get care guidance specific to the stone you chose, not a generic leaflet.

Guarantees

Two guarantees, written down separately

They cover different things and different territories, so we publish them as two. Anyone quoting you a single number for both is rounding something off.

  • 25-year material warranty: residential installations
  • 5-year workmanship guarantee: every kitchen we fit
  • Both stated on the quote, not buried in terms and conditions

Materials we specify

We fit our own WWX Collection alongside Dekton, Silestone and Sensa. Where a cheaper slab does the same job in your kitchen, we will say so. It costs us margin and saves you an argument later.

Order a few samples and see how quickly you hear back. That tells you more about a worktop company than any about page.
