Worktop templating in Enfield Town

Yes. Enfield Town is on the patch, and the postcodes we work here are EN1, EN2. It is worked on our north London run, along with the rest of Enfield. Underground loading has a height restriction, and a van with an A-frame on it is taller than the driver remembers. A templater circling for a space arrives late into a slot that was already tight, and the drawing is what suffers. The templater needs a proper stop, not a pause. The rear wall is usually a single brick thick and has been rendered, patched and re-rendered, so it bows in and out along the length of the run. The one-way system round the market and Church Street has timed loading only, and the multi-storey heights rule out a Luton, so slabs get walked in from a metered bay on the side roads. Villa properties usually have a decent front path but a step up at the threshold and a 90-degree turn into the hall. Carrying through the house means protecting the whole route first: floor boarded, banister padded, and the front door held open on a wedge rather than by hand. Door widths, turn diagonals and any change of level are recorded on the drawing alongside the run dimensions. The template records it along with everything else.

Floors settle, and once base units are packed and levelled properly the stone sits true while everything else in the room admits it is not. The template plots it as it is, at the exact height the worktop will sit, and the drawing carries that through. Measured at worktop height, nowhere else. Units fixed and packed level over the sloping floor, walls replastered and dry at their final thickness (tiling and splashbacks go on after the worktop, never before), and the sink, tap and hob physically on site, with a Belfast sink built in and set at its finished height. A street with houses in single occupation next to the same houses cut into flats produces two completely different jobs from the same elevation.
