Worktop templating in Enfield Highway

Yes. Enfield Highway is on the patch, and the postcodes we work here are EN3. It is worked on our north London run, along with the rest of Enfield. Loading exemptions on red routes are narrow, time-limited and heavily camera-enforced, so we plan around them rather than relying on them. The templating visit needs somewhere to stop for two or three hours, which is a different problem from unloading for twenty minutes. Two hours is the realistic figure. Floors are suspended timber over a shallow void and have moved, so the units are packed and levelled before anything is set on them. The Hertford Road has bus lanes and daytime loading restrictions, so it is early starts or side-street parking with a long walk. Rear alleyways behind the terraces are usually blocked with bins and fence panels - assume you are going in the front. Carrying through the house means protecting the whole route first: floor boarded, banister padded, and the front door held open on a wedge rather than by hand. The templater measures that route on the same visit, so the drawing leaves site already knowing the maximum piece. That is part of what the visit is for.

Not particularly, and it would be easy to pretend otherwise. What the research on this patch actually lists is worktop replacement, worktop installation and worktop splashbacks & upstands. That is a statement about the local housing rather than about the work. It is quoted, cut and fitted exactly the same way here as anywhere else on the patch. A new extension slab is not automatically level, and that wants checking before templating rather than after the stone is cut. Units fixed and packed level over the sloping floor, walls replastered and dry at their final thickness (tiling and splashbacks go on after the worktop, never before), and the sink, tap and hob physically on site, with a Belfast sink built in and set at its finished height. Where a landlord or housing provider is involved there is a specification to meet and a process to follow, and both are settled before a date is offered.
