Stone bar tops in Whitehall Park

Yes. Whitehall Park is on the patch, and the postcodes we work here are N19. It is worked on our north London run, along with the rest of Islington. Plenty of zones run at the weekend as well as through the week, so a Saturday date is not automatically the easier one to work. Anything that puts a notch in a bar takes material out of the piece at the point people lean on it, so the notch and the support are drawn together or not at all. Fixings go into timber that was put there for them.

Where there is a lift, whether it can be booked out and padded matters as much as its size. The alternative to a join is a shorter run, which is usually the wrong thing to trade away. A join added to get stone into the room is a different thing from a join added because the slab ran out, and the quote says which is which. A narrow entrance hall with a turn into the back of the house caps the longest piece we can physically get in, whatever the run itself measures. A top with a bonded apron on the front arrives deeper than a worktop and behaves like a beam, so there is no easing it round a turn at all. A polished front edge is protected from the tail lift to the frame.
