Ordered later from a different batch, the match is not reliable where the two pieces meet. A boiler in a cupboard on the kitchen wall is normal in this stock, and its position is fixed by its flue. A whole slab still gets reserved, because a dozen matching tops is the entire point of ordering them together. What the parade allows is what the room can seat.

A boiling tap needs a hole of its own and a cupboard below for the tank, so the units change too. Each cut-out is priced on its own line, so a range, a bowl and a half, a boiling tap and a drainer are four items rather than one. With three walls in play the chance of one of them being out of square is high, and the template has to carry all three angles. What decides the cut list here is the seating plan rather than the room shape, and one repeated table size nests far better than six one-offs. A spare comes off the same run or it is not a spare.
