Bathroom worktops and vanity tops in West Hendon

The tap has to clear the reveal before the hole is drilled. Confirm the unit depth for each bathroom separately, book the lift if the building wants it booked, and have both taps on site. One staircase can serve an owner on the first floor and a managed tenancy on the second, so the access arrangement changes at every landing while the building stays the same. Who is paying decides the material here more than anywhere else, because a vanity is small enough that an expensive stone stops being an expensive decision. Honed stone in a bathroom asks more of whoever cleans it.

Quartz carries resin, so a hot pan wants a trivet, while granite and sintered stone will take one without complaint. Marble is the one people underestimate. Upstand or splashback, the stone is cut from the same slab run as the worktop, at the same time, so the batch actually matches. Sprinkler heads and extract ducts are coordinated into the ceiling, so an extractor over an island goes where the services already allow. A sloping floor is not the problem. The plane the unit tops finish in is. Every piece goes in by hand and stone does not bend, so the tightest turn on the route sets the longest piece. Splitting a run costs a join, and that is the price of getting stone into the room at all. The alternative to a join is a shorter run, which is usually the wrong thing to trade away. Handrails, mirrors and a sloping ceiling panel all eat into the usable diagonal, and none of them appear on a lift specification sheet. The exception is a double vanity, which is a kitchen length in bathroom width and behaves like a worktop from the tail lift onwards. The turn at the head of the stairs decides a double vanity.
