Bathroom worktops and vanity tops in Loxford

Tiling and stone can meet, but where they meet is decided before the template rather than after. An upstand covers the gap where the worktop meets a wall that is not flat, which is its real job. It is quoted by area like the worktop, so a long run is a material line rather than a trim. Deep original skirting is often left in behind the units, standing them off the wall, so the back edge of the stone is plotted where the carcasses actually sit. Original boards over shallow joists give under load, so the unit is fixed back to the wall as well as standing on the floor before any stone goes on it. High ceilings do nothing for a vanity, but the reveals do.
