Time-limited bays are camera-enforced across a lot of managed estates, so the unload runs to the clock and the van moves off afterwards. An old stone top is heavier coming out than the new one is going in, and leaves in sections. The template can be taken with the old top still down, which is why one visit covers both. If you want the old top kept for a garage or a utility, say so and it stays on site. Bay bookings are usually an hour or two, which is fine for unloading and no use at all as a place to leave the van for a day. The upper counter is the longest piece on the van, so the tail lift needs the full swing radius clear on the pavement. Packaging leaves with us rather than filling the lobby.

The lift, if there is one, is measured on the diagonal, because that is the dimension a long piece actually uses. A join forced by the route still sits over a gable, so it is no poorer a join for that. Splitting a run costs a join, and that is the price of getting stone into the room at all. Pieces get staged in the ground floor lobby and sent up singly, which needs somewhere to stand them where nobody will walk into them. The lower transaction shelf is short and easily handled; it is the upper counter that has to be walked in on edge and turned at every corner. Piece length is capped in the drawing office, not on the landing.
