Worktop templating in North Sheen

Permit hours are what matters, not the permit itself, because a bay that frees up at six in the evening is no use for a template at ten. The templating visit needs somewhere to stop for two or three hours, which is a different problem from unloading for twenty minutes. It goes on the job sheet for the fitting crew. Original quarry-tiled floors sit lower than a later screed, so a run crossing that junction needs the units packed to one level. Door width, hall width and the diagonal at the turn are three separate measurements, and it is the diagonal that catches people out. The step or level change between the original room and the return is real, and the units need packing before stone goes across it. Join positions and vein direction are marked on the template drawing before it leaves site. Real angles, not plan angles. Where a run finishes into a reveal, the depth of that reveal is taken at worktop height and nowhere else. One measurement never describes it, which is why a tape reading taken before the visit rarely matches the template. Measured at worktop height, nowhere else. All base units in, including anything standing on the later extension slab, walls skimmed to final thickness, and the sink, tap and hob delivered so cut-outs and tap centres are set from the actual items. Owner-occupied kitchens are usually being done once, which is why the edge profile, the vein direction and where a join falls are worth the conversation.
