Stone bar tops in Oakwood

Yes. Oakwood is on the patch, and the postcodes we work here are N14. It is worked on our north London run, along with the rest of Enfield. Where the drive is shared, the half-hour the van spends in the way is agreed with the neighbour in advance rather than apologised for at the time. A bar fit runs longer than a worktop run, because the frame, the support and the stone are three stages and only the last of them is quick. What comes off the van first is whatever holds the top up. Upstands and splashbacks are templated after the worktop is down and settled, so they are a separate visit. Nothing is measured until the sink, the tap and the hob are in the room to measure against. There is nothing to pay before the template visit. The extension slab was poured to its own level, so there is a lip or a ramp where the new floor meets the original one. None of that stops a bar being fitted level, but it does mean the top is set to a datum of its own and packed off the frame rather than followed down to the floor. People push against the front edge, so the front edge gets the steel.

The quote is itemised, so a job where you already hold the slab is the same job with the material line taken off it. The workmanship guarantee is the same either way. It does not extend to a material we did not supply. How the slab has been stored is worth telling us, because stone kept flat is not stone off a rack. An open-plan extension puts the worktop in the middle of the living space, so it is looked at from the sofa as well as worked on. The support has to be specified to whoever is building the frame before it is boarded up, since steel let in afterwards means taking the front of the bar apart again. The steel is priced with the bar, not after it.
