That is the shape of the day. In the flats the boiler and meter cupboard sit right in the middle of the run, so the top gets built in two pieces around a cupboard that cannot move.

The A3 and the Tolworth junction split the area, so timing the crossing matters; the houses have driveways, but the tower and low-rise blocks depend on a single lift and a shared landing. The lift has to be booked and blanketed before anything moves, and that booking needs to cover the old tops coming out as well as the new stone going in. Unlock any rear or shared path gate and clear both the hall and the back approach so we can choose the better route on the day. Where someone is living in the house through the work, the strip-out and the fit are planned so the kitchen is out of use for a day and not a week.
