GRANITE
From £159 /m²
Made to order · cut to your kitchen, fitted 5–10 working days from template
Supply only: the slab itself. Fabrication, edge profile, cut-outs, delivery and installation are quoted on top and itemised, so nothing appears at the end that you did not agree at the start.
Is it right for you
The supply rate for Star Galaxy is £159 per square metre, putting it 17th of 45 among the granite we stock. The median granite here is £177, so Star Galaxy comes in £18 below the middle of its own range. The next granite up in price is Rio Branco at £160.
It suits a cook who puts pans down without thinking and irritates anybody who wants the kitchen to look untouched. Both of those are true at once, which is why opinions on it are so divided.
Put against its own material, Star Galaxy clears the cheapest granite by £38 and stops £391 short of the dearest. 1 other surface in the catalogue carry the same rate, across different materials, so the price alone will not choose between them. Within its own black group Star Galaxy is the 3rd cheapest of 11.
10 other granite surfaces share its black tone, Black Beauty Sensa at £200, Black Fusion at £271 and Nilo Sensa at £320 among them. For about the same outlay there is Keon at £164 in sintered stone, so the money is not what separates them.
This is the part of the granite range where choice is widest, so it is usually possible to find the movement you want without going up a price band.
The photograph above is indicative. Screens shift colour, and granite varies slab to slab, so your piece will not be identical to this image. We hold offcuts of the Worktop Worx quartz collection only, so we cannot post you a piece of this one. It is ordered in by the slab, and the slab is what you would be shown before anything is cut.
At a glance
Thicknesses and slab sizes available in this colour are confirmed in writing when we quote, because stock changes. Fitted 5–10 working days from template, with a 25-year material warranty and a 5-year workmanship guarantee.

If you choose it
Send the sizes, a plan or a few photographs. A person prices it and itemises every piece, cut-out and edge.
Two to three hours for a typical kitchen. We digitally template every run, record wall run-out, unit heights and appliance positions, agree with you where the joins will fall and where the tap holes and drainer grooves go, and confirm the edge profile.
Star Galaxy is cut to that template and fitted 5 to 10 working days from template, with a 5-year workmanship guarantee.
Before you commit
The survey and the written quote cost nothing and carry no deposit. A deposit is taken when you accept and book the template, and the balance is due before installation. Every cut-out, edge and join is priced on its own line.
Up to the template visit you can cancel and we refund the deposit less anything already spent reserving material. After it, the stone is cut to your kitchen and cannot be put back, which is why we template rather than work from your measurements. Read the terms
If someone else has to agree, the quote is itemised so it can be read line by line by whoever is checking it, and we can arrange to show you the actual slab before it is cut. What the guarantees cover

“Absolutely delighted with our new worktop from Worktop WorX. The Capri White finish looks incredible, clean, modern, and really brightens up the whole kitchen while pairing beautifully with the darker cabinetry. The quality of the worktop is outstanding, with a flawless finish and seamless installation that really shows the attention to detail. It’s not…”

Worth comparing two or three before you settle, because the same room can take a much darker or much busier surface than a photograph suggests.

Granite
Granite is quarried natural stone: every slab is different, heat off the hob is a non-issue, and it needs sealing periodically.
Most of what we fit is 20mm or 30mm. Where you want a chunkier look, we mitre the edge (a 20mm slab folded down to give a 40mm or 60mm apron), which reads as solid stone without the weight or cost of a genuinely thick slab.
Quarried stone shrugs off heat from the hob.
Veining and movement are the point of it.
Porosity varies by stone, which is why it is sealed.
Sealed when fitted, topped up over the years.
Granite samples cannot be posted, so we talk you through the slab.
Next step
Send plans or photos with rough measurements and we will come back with a real number rather than a range that moves later. Free samples are available on the Worktop Worx quartz collection, though not on this one.
