Is it right for you

What Lucid suits

At £350 per square metre supply only, Lucid is the 63rd of the 71 sintered stone surfaces we fit, counting up from the cheapest. That is £89 above the £261 median for the family, so it is a dearer choice within its own material rather than across the catalogue.

Pale sintered surfaces throw light back into the room like any near-white top, and because the finishes here run from matt to gloss, the same colour can look quite different depending which one is specified.

Lucid sits £240 above the cheapest sintered stone we fit and £16 below the dearest, so it is mid-range within its own material rather than at either end. 6 other surfaces in the catalogue carry the same rate, across different materials, so the price alone will not choose between them. Lucid is 11th by price among the 13 white surfaces in this material.

12 other sintered stone surfaces share its white tone, Zenith at £262, Laguna at £250 and Marina at £250 among them. For about the same outlay there is Platino Sensa at £350 in granite, so the money is not what separates them.

At this end you are paying for a print and a finish that are harder to make, and nothing else. Scratch resistance, heat resistance and the absence of any sealing are the same as at the cheapest point on the list.

The photograph above is indicative. Screens shift colour, and batches vary, so a slab can read warmer or cooler than an image suggests. We hold offcuts of the Worktop Worx quartz collection only, so we cannot post you a piece of this one. It is ordered in by the slab, and the slab is what you would be shown before anything is cut.

What happens after you pick a colour

  1. A written quote

Send the sizes, a plan or a few photographs. A person prices it and itemises every piece, cut-out and edge.

  2. The template visit

Two to three hours for a typical kitchen. We digitally template every run, record wall run-out, unit heights and appliance positions, agree with you where the joins will fall and where the tap holes and drainer grooves go, and confirm the edge profile.

  3. Fitted in 5–10 working days

Lucid is cut to that template and fitted 5 to 10 working days from template, with a 5-year workmanship guarantee.

Before you commit

What you pay, and when you can still change your mind

Nothing to see the price

The survey and the written quote cost nothing and carry no deposit. A deposit is taken when you accept and book the template, and the balance is due before installation. Every cut-out, edge and join is priced on its own line.

Cancel before the template

Up to the template visit you can cancel and we refund the deposit less anything already spent reserving material. After it, the stone is cut to your kitchen and cannot be put back, which is why we template rather than work from your measurements. Read the terms

Something to show them

If someone else has to agree, the quote is itemised so it can be read line by line by whoever is checking it, and we can arrange to show you the actual slab before it is cut. What the guarantees cover

Dekton

Why you would choose sintered stone

Sintered surfaces like Dekton are the most durable of the three: highly scratch and heat resistant, and thin enough to take a fine mitred edge.

Most of what we fit is 20mm or 30mm. Where you want a chunkier look, we mitre the edge (a 20mm slab folded down to give a 40mm or 60mm apron), which reads as solid stone without the weight or cost of a genuinely thick slab.
