Is it right for you

What Colonial Ivory suits

Granite suits cooks. Heat is a non-issue, it is genuinely hard-wearing, and because it is quarried rather than manufactured, no other kitchen has your slab. It is also the only one of the three where the material itself is the decoration.

Mid greys are the most forgiving colour in a working kitchen. Dust, crumbs and water spots all disappear into them, and they sit happily against almost any cabinet colour.

It is porous, and sealing is not a one-off job. It also varies slab to slab, so the photograph on this page shows the stone, not the piece that will arrive. For a large island it is worth seeing the actual slab.

The photograph above is indicative. Screens shift colour, and granite varies slab to slab, so your piece will not be identical to this image. A free sample under your own lighting settles it in a way no photograph can.
