Gold and cream granite worktops
Gold and cream granite worktops from £128/m² supply: warm natural stones with honey, tan and ivory movement, sealed and fitted across London.

These are the warm granites: cream, ivory, honey and tan stones, some with dark flecks and some with long bands of movement in gold, rust and brown. They are natural stone, quarried and polished with nothing added, so no two slabs are the same.
Gold granite brings warmth that a grey or white surface cannot. It sits naturally with wood, cream and painted units in green or navy, and with brass or copper fittings. Like all granite it takes heat from a pan without a second thought and is sealed when it is fitted.
We fit 5 gold granite colours, supplied from £128 to £184 per square metre. Juparana Colombo is the least expensive and Delicatus Gold the dearest; fabrication, cut-outs and fitting are quoted on top, per kitchen.

Choosing
Choosing a gold granite
Each slab is a geological object rather than a product line, so the colour and the amount of movement vary from block to block and even between slabs from the same block. A swatch shows the kind of stone; for a large island or a long run it is worth seeing the actual slab before it is cut.
Look at how busy the stone is against the size of the room. The finer, more even stones suit a smaller kitchen or a run broken up by a hob and a sink; the stones with long bands of movement look their best where you see a lot of them at once. Our guide to choosing a worktop colour goes through how warm stones work with different unit colours.
The paler, coarser-grained granites are more porous than the dense blacks, so sealing matters here. They are sealed at fabrication and topped up when they need it; the guide to sealing a granite worktop explains the fifteen-minute water test that tells you when, and resealing itself is a short job with a cloth.
Clean with warm water and washing-up liquid or a pH-neutral stone cleaner and dry it off. Keep bleach and acidic descalers away from it, and wipe oil and red wine up the same day on the paler stones. Our guide to removing stains from stone covers oil marks that have been left.

Gold granite worktops: common questions
01Can I put a hot pan on gold granite?
Yes. Granite formed under heat and pressure, so a pan off the hob does not mark the stone itself. Wipe up oil and red wine the same day on the paler stones, because those are more porous than the dense blacks and rely on the sealer.
02What colour units go with gold granite?
Cream, ivory and warm white units, natural wood, and deep painted colours such as green and navy all work well. Brass, copper and warm bronze fittings suit it better than bright chrome. A cool bright white can make a warm stone look yellow, so compare it with a door sample.
03How can you tell granite from quartz?
Granite has visible crystals and natural variation, so the pattern never repeats and no two slabs match. Quartz is engineered, so its colour and pattern are consistent from slab to slab. Granite needs sealing; quartz never does.
04How much do gold granite worktops cost?
Supply prices for the 5 gold granite colours we fit run from £128 per square metre (Juparana Colombo) to £184 (Delicatus Gold), with Colonial Ivory in the middle at £142. That is the slab only: templating, fabrication, edges, cut-outs and fitting are quoted on top, itemised, after we have seen your kitchen.
05Can I get a free sample of gold granite?
Not by post. We only hold offcuts of the Worktop Worx quartz collection, and gold granite is ordered in by the slab. We can arrange for you to see the slab your worktop will be cut from before anything is cut.
