Marble-effect and Calacatta quartz worktops

Calacatta, Carrara and Marquina-style quartz worktops that give the look of marble without the sealing, priced per square metre and fitted across London.

Alaska quartz running round a U-shaped kitchen in taupe handleless units, the sink under the window and a peninsula beyond

These are quartz surfaces made to look like marble: a white or black ground with a vein through it, from the fine grey line of a Carrara to the broad gold vein of a Calacatta. You get the look without marble’s habits. Quartz is non-porous, so it never needs sealing and lemon juice will not etch it the way it etches real marble.

We fit 21 marble-effect quartz colours, supplied from £130 to £350 per square metre, including WWX Collection and Silestone. Statuario Gold is the least expensive and Calacatta Luxe Gold the dearest; fabrication, cut-outs and fitting are quoted on top, per kitchen.

Choosing

Choosing a marble-effect quartz

The vein is the thing to plan. On a long run or an island it has to continue across a join, so the way each piece is cut from the slab matters as much as the colour you choose.
