quartz worktop
QUARTZ · WWX COLLECTION
From £180 /m²
Made to order · cut to your kitchen, fitted 5–10 working days from template
Supply only: the slab itself. Fabrication, edge profile, cut-outs, delivery and installation are quoted on top and itemised, so nothing appears at the end that you did not agree at the start.
A sample square tells you the pattern. These are Calacatta Gold worktops we templated and fitted, so you can see how the same surface reads across a full run, around a sink, and under kitchen lighting rather than showroom lighting.
Our own installations, photographed on the day. Kitchen lighting and camera white balance both change how a surface reads, so take these as a guide to how the pattern behaves at scale rather than as a colour match. Order a free sample for that.
Is it right for you
At £180 per square metre supply only, Calacatta Gold is the 30th of the 69 quartz surfaces we fit, counting up from the cheapest. That is the median for the family exactly, which makes it a fair reference point for what this material costs before any fabrication. The next step down in quartz is Calacatta Flow at £180, and the next up is Concrete Light at £180.
It behaves nothing like the stone it imitates. There is no sealing, no etching from lemon or vinegar, and no dulling where the mugs land, which is the whole reason people choose it over the real thing.
Calacatta Gold sits £50 above the cheapest quartz we fit and £320 below the dearest, so it is mid-range within its own material rather than at either end. 9 other surfaces in the catalogue carry the same rate, across different materials, so the price alone will not choose between them. Of the 10 marble quartz surfaces, Calacatta Gold is the 10th by price.
9 other quartz surfaces share its marble tone, Nero Marquina at £150, Statuario Gold at £130 and Calacatta Venato at £170 among them. For about the same outlay there is Magnific White at £183 in granite, so the money is not what separates them.
For a large kitchen needing two slabs this is the safest band to be in. Batches are consistent by manufacture, so a second slab matches the first without anybody having to go and look at it first.
The photograph above is indicative. Screens shift colour, and batches vary, so a slab can read warmer or cooler than an image suggests. A free sample under your own lighting settles it in a way no photograph can.
At a glance
Thicknesses and slab sizes available in this colour are confirmed in writing when we quote, because stock changes. Fitted 5–10 working days from template, with a 25-year material warranty and a 5-year workmanship guarantee.

If you choose it
Send the sizes, a plan or a few photographs. A person prices it and itemises every piece, cut-out and edge.
Two to three hours for a typical kitchen. We digitally template every run, record wall run-out, unit heights and appliance positions, agree with you where the joins will fall and where the tap holes and drainer grooves go, and confirm the edge profile.
Calacatta Gold is cut to that template and fitted 5 to 10 working days from template, with a 5-year workmanship guarantee.
Before you commit
The survey and the written quote cost nothing and carry no deposit. A deposit is taken when you accept and book the template, and the balance is due before installation. Every cut-out, edge and join is priced on its own line.
Up to the template visit you can cancel and we refund the deposit less anything already spent reserving material. After it, the stone is cut to your kitchen and cannot be put back, which is why we template rather than work from your measurements. Read the terms
If someone else has to agree, a free Calacatta Gold sample settles it faster than a screen will, and the quote is itemised so it can be read line by line by whoever is checking it. What the guarantees cover

Quartz
Quartz is the default for a busy family kitchen: it is engineered, non-porous, needs no sealing and looks the same slab to slab, so a big run stays consistent.
Most of what we fit is 20mm or 30mm. Where you want a chunkier look, we mitre the edge (a 20mm slab folded down to give a 40mm or 60mm apron), which reads as solid stone without the weight or cost of a genuinely thick slab.
Nothing soaks in, so wine, oil and coffee wipe off.
No sealant schedule, ever.
Manufactured, so a second slab matches the first.
The resin can scorch, so hot pans go on a stand.
The quartz range is the one we can post free.
Next step
Samples are free and arrive by post. When you are ready, send plans or photos with rough measurements and we will come back with a real number rather than a range that moves later.
