All of that is settled at the nesting stage, because a machined piece cannot be adjusted afterwards. The saw only ever sees the templated dimensions.

Templating and fitting are two visits, not one, and the gap between them is when the stone is actually cut. The same firm templates and fits. Nobody else is brought in to install. A template on a normal kitchen takes two to three hours in the room. A steel goes in where the original back wall came out, and the ceiling steps down under it at the point the run passes beneath.
