Changing an appliance after the nest is set means recutting the piece, not adjusting it. Slabs for a programme are pulled together, not weekly.

A join added to get stone into the room is a different thing from a join added because the slab ran out, and the quote says which is which. Doorways, the newel post and the handrail usually take the room away, rather than the stairs themselves. Where only one car serves the building a breakdown on the morning halts the job outright, so the fallback route is worked out at template rather than on the landing. The maximum piece length is fixed at drawing stage and every join is placed over a cabinet gable from there. Machining happens after the carry length is fixed, not before.

Ask for the lines rather than the total. One number for a kitchen tells you nothing you can check. The edge profile is its own line, so a shaped edge and a square one are two different figures.
