Honestly, no, though it would be easy to claim otherwise. What the research on this patch actually lists is worktop installation and worktop replacement. A sloping floor is not the problem. The plane the unit tops finish in is. Levelling belongs in the carcasses, on their own legs and packers. Packing takes up small variation. It is not there to hide something that belongs in the units. Where a peninsula returns into a stud wall the load has to sit on the units, with the wall doing no more than steadying it. It also decides where in the slab the piece is taken from, because a deep relief needs material behind it that a straight edge never asks for. Nothing leaves the bench expecting a square wall.

A piece travels on edge, never flat, because on edge is how stone of that length carries its own weight. The alternative to a join is a shorter run, which is usually the wrong thing to trade away. Doorways, the newel post and the handrail usually take the room away, rather than the stairs themselves. Managed buildings allow deliveries through the lift only between set hours, and a day that overruns them finishes with the last piece still on the pavement. The maximum piece length is fixed at drawing stage and every join is placed over a cabinet gable from there. Nesting follows the route, not the other way round.
