Is it right for you

What Trilium suits

The supply rate for Trilium is £165 per square metre, putting it 9th of 71 among the sintered stone we stock. The median sintered stone here is £261, so Trilium comes in £96 below the middle of its own range. The next sintered stone up in price is Kairos at £170.

This is the family that survives a chopping board being forgotten. Knives, grit under a pan and the odd dragged appliance do far less to it than they would to anything else on the list.

Put against its own material, Trilium clears the cheapest sintered stone by £55 and stops £201 short of the dearest. 5 other Dekton surfaces are priced at exactly £165 as well, so the price alone will not choose between them. Trilium is 3rd by price among the 21 grey surfaces in this material.

20 other sintered stone surfaces share its grey tone, Soke at £260, Aura at £261 and Ceppo at £265 among them. At a similar price you could have Blue Pearl, a granite at £166, which is a different material doing a different job for roughly the same money.

This is the sensible band for a household that cooks hard and cleans fast. The plainer tones cost less because the pattern is simpler, which is a look decision rather than a performance one.

The photograph above is indicative. Screens shift colour, and batches vary, so a slab can read warmer or cooler than an image suggests. We hold offcuts of the Worktop Worx quartz collection only, so we cannot post you a piece of this one. It is ordered in by the slab, and the slab is what you would be shown before anything is cut.

Supply cost

What Trilium costs for a typical kitchen

At £165/m² supply, the slab for the 2.82 m² L-shape on our layout costing comes to about £465, and the 4.44 m² L-shape with an island about £733.

Supply only: the slab at the published rate. Templating, fabrication, edges, cut-outs, delivery and fitting are quoted on top, itemised. Stone is bought by the slab, so a layout that needs a second slab steps up rather than scaling by area.

If you choose it

What happens after you pick a colour

  1. A written quote

Send the sizes, a plan or a few photographs. A person prices it and itemises every piece, cut-out and edge.

  2. The template visit

Two to three hours for a typical kitchen. We digitally template every run, record wall run-out, unit heights and appliance positions, agree with you where the joins will fall and where the tap holes and drainer grooves go, and confirm the edge profile.

  3. Fitted in 5–10 working days

Trilium is cut to that template and fitted 5 to 10 working days from template, with a 5-year workmanship guarantee.

Before you commit

What you pay, and when you can still change your mind

Nothing to see the price

The survey and the written quote cost nothing and carry no deposit. Your written quote states when the deposit falls due, and the balance is due before installation. Every cut-out, edge and join is priced on its own line.

Cancel before the template

Up to the template visit you can cancel and we refund any deposit paid, less anything already spent reserving material. After it, the stone is cut to your kitchen and cannot be put back, which is why we template rather than work from your measurements. Read the terms

Something to show them

If someone else has to agree, the quote is itemised so it can be read line by line by whoever is checking it, and we can arrange to show you the actual slab before it is cut. What the guarantees cover

Questions

Trilium worktop questions

01

How much is a Trilium Dekton worktop?

£165 per square metre, supply only. At that rate the slab for a 2.82 m² L-shape comes to about £465 before fabrication and fitting, which are quoted itemised. That puts Trilium 9th of the 71 sintered stone surfaces we fit, counting up from the cheapest, against a sintered stone median of £261.

02

Does Trilium need sealing?

No, Trilium never needs sealing. Sintered stone has effectively zero porosity, so there is nothing to reapply.

03

Can I put a hot pan on Trilium?

Yes. There is no resin in sintered stone, so nothing in it can scorch and a hot pan straight off the hob does it no harm.

04

Can I get a sample of Trilium?

We post samples of the Worktop Worx quartz collection only, so there is no posted sample of Trilium; ask when you request a quote and we will tell you how to see the stone.

05

How long does Trilium take to fit?

5–10 working days from template. We template once your base units are fitted and level, cut Trilium to that template and fit it, with a 5-year workmanship guarantee and a 25-year material warranty.

06

Is Trilium the same as sintered stone?

Yes. Dekton is Cosentino's sintered stone: mineral powders compacted under very high pressure and fired into one dense body, with no resin in it. Trilium is one of the 63 Dekton colours we fit.

Dekton

Why you would choose sintered stone

Sintered stone such as Dekton is the most durable of the three: highly scratch and heat resistant, and thin enough to take a fine mitred edge.

The standard thicknesses are 20mm and 30mm. Where you want a chunkier look, we mitre the edge (a 20mm slab folded down to give a 40mm or 60mm apron), which reads as solid stone without the weight or cost of a genuinely thick slab.
