The building, and what it does to the job
Across this patch this is overwhelmingly let and managed property. The kitchens are compact, so the fixed lines outweigh the stone. The changeover fits inside one working day, with no night without a kitchen. What comes off tells us what goes on.
There is nearly always a boxed service duct or a stopcock cupboard in one corner, and it eats into the usable depth of the run. Deck access or a single narrow staircase with tight half-landings means long pieces get walked up on edge, and the landing turn is checked before we commit. The slow parts are slow for a reason.
Half the terraces here have been through two or three refits and the rear walls are out of square by 15-20mm, so nothing gets cut off drawings without a physical template.
