Where the hob lands is set out against the units and the wall behind, not off the kitchen plan. A boiling tap needs a hole of its own and a cupboard below for the tank, so the units change too. The catch with a galley is that both runs are seen end-on from the doorway, so any difference in overhang between the two reads immediately. A waterfall end is the most expensive detail per visible square metre in the trade, because the leg is a whole extra piece and the figure has to run down it uninterrupted. Finished ends cost by the metre, however short the run is.
