Upper Belvedere has larger Victorian and interwar houses on the hill with room for a 3.5m run and an island once extended, while the lower streets toward the river are estate housing with compact galley kitchens. A front drive is the best thing that can happen to a fitting day, because the tail lift comes down within a few metres of the door and nothing is on a clock. These kitchens tend to be compact and reasonably square, so the fixed template, fabrication and fitting lines are a larger share of the total than the stone is. A half-day of access is not a fitting day, and it is better to say so at booking than to find out at eleven. Protection goes down first.
