The kitchens in Bulls Cross are not all one kind, and which kind you have changes the vanity tops long before the stone is ordered. Ribbon development strung along Bulls Cross and Bullsmoor Lane: mostly detached and semi-detached houses of varying dates with kitchens at the rear opening onto a large plot. A lot of these are extended once and then re-fitted, so you get a 4m run with a mismatched older section still in place. If you are not sure, say so when you get in touch. It is a normal answer and we work with it.
A picture rail, a deep skirting and a moulded architrave all sit in the way of anything that assumes flat wall from floor to ceiling. The stone is the straightforward half of a bathroom. The order the trades come in is what actually decides when we can be there. The depth sets the piece, not the length of the wall.
Internal walls are lath on timber studs while the flank walls are brick, so two walls in the same kitchen take a fixing completely differently. Original boards over shallow joists give under load, so the unit is fixed back to the wall as well as standing on the floor before any stone goes on it. A bathroom over a kitchen has its waste run already decided.
On this patch the buildings are ribbon-development semi, green-belt detached and converted lodge. They fail in different places, which is why the survey looks at different things.
