The housing stock
What we are usually working with in Grove Park
A shallow bay or a squared-off rear window means the run beneath it is rarely the same depth at both ends. The old tops come off in pieces, and what is under them decides whether the units need levelling before anything new goes on. The tiles above will want attention once the old top goes.
Driveway access means a full-length piece is usually deliverable, the constraint is the internal doorway, not the street.
The under-stair cupboard opens off the kitchen in most of them, and its door swing is the reason a corner run stops where it does. The old top comes out in the morning and the new one goes onto the same units the same afternoon. What is under the old top is the real question.
On this patch the buildings are 1930s semi, interwar terrace, postwar estate and 1960s low-rise flats. The differences between them show up at template, not at enquiry.
Access. Suburban roads with drives and verges, though the railway and the Chinbrook end leave several dead-end streets with limited turning; parking is generally free and on-plot.
There is nothing to visit in Grove Park. Samples are posted free, the template is taken in your kitchen and the stone is fitted there too.
